Dr. Saulez is a board-certified specialist in equine medicine with a focus on diagnosing and treating diseases of the internal systems. Typical diseases include anaemia or bleeding disorders, diarrhoea, coughing and breathing disorders, diseases of the nervous system, heart or circulatory disease, bladder or kidney disease, liver disease, poor performance or loss of speed or stamina, serious infectious disease and endocrine disorders.

Following a thorough physical exam of a horse, and based on these initial findings, additional tests will be discussed. Depending on the horse’s condition, diagnostic testing or treatments may include advanced laboratory testing of various tissue and blood samples, biopsies of masses, internal organs or bone marrow, cerebrospinal fluid collection for neurological disease, diagnostic imaging (ultrasound and radiography), echocardiography (ultrasound of the heart), electrocardiography (ECG) and endoscopy.
